At Three Rivers Music Academy, you can choose private lessons with one of our outstanding instructors or sign up for our self-paced online classes. 

Private Lessons

If you choose private lessons, our highly trained teachers will work with you to determine the appropriate coursework for your current level and to achieve your personal goals. We currently offer private lessons in Piano, Voice, Guitar, and Drums.

Self-paced Online Classes

Our self-paced online classes incorporate the MusicFirst Classroom (MFC) platform, which is used in thousands of K-12 classrooms globally and is already familiar to many of our students. Along with lessons and videos we've created, students have access to a wide range of MFC software including PracticeFirst, Auralia, Musitian, and more. These software packages provide opportunities for online assessments. PracticeFirst will even listen to you playing along with a practice track and provide feedback on your pitch, rhythm, and intonation so you can see right away what you need to work on! G100 - Contemporary Guitar Fundamentals

Our initial self-paced online class is an introduction to guitar fundamentals. By the end of the course, students should be able to read basic guitar tablature and chord diagrams and play basic C A G E D chord forms.

  • Holding the guitar
  • Tuning
  • Fundamentals of reading guitar music (TAB and chord diagrams)
• Unit 2
  • Reportoire of 17 songs including:
    • Cielito Lindo
    • Molly Malone
    • House of the Rising Sun
    • Banana Boat Song (Day-Oh)
  • Chords learned through repertoire include major, minor, and dominant 7th chord voicings of C, A, G, E, and D as well as F and B chord variations.
